A fine mixture of history, nature and cycling
Description of Route: Along the ride you will familiarise yourself with the salient geographical and historical features of this part of the island. Starting from San Ġwann, the tour crosses Wied Għomor and Wied il-Kbir and passes through Tal-Ibraġ and Madliena settlements. Along the route, the magnificent scenery of Wied id-Dis and Wied il-Faħam can be appreciated together with Fort Madliena, a historical landmark still in use. You will continue cycling along the countryside and the small settlement of Baħar ic-Ċagħaq, following a coastal road from where views of the rugged coastline can be observed. The last part of the tour explores the coastal area of Pembroke with its historic and natural features including Madliena Tower and the vast expanses of garrigue. The tour ends in St. Julians.
